Samantha Latson is an intern on The Washington Post's Metro desk. She is an M.S. Journalism graduate from Indiana University. In 2022, she was a Ida B. Wells Fellow at The Washington Post on the Investigative Team. At Roosevelt University she was a reporter for the Unforgotten 51 project that examined the largely unsolved cases of 51 mostly African American women murdered in Chicago since 2001. The killings are believed to be the work of a serial killer. Her work has been published in the Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago Crusader.
